Which, in your opinion, is the best Bruce Woolley project and, of course, why?

Hi Victor, can you tell me if it's the American (in my opinion superior) version of the album? Or the English version that was previously released on CD.

Bruce and Trevor interviewed on Chris Evans Radio 2 Drivetime show

Hi all

Chris Evans interviewed Bruce and Trevor about "Video Killed the Radio Star", and the fact that it will be 30 years since the song was first a hit, asking "is this pop perfection?". The anniversary is officially September, so expect more of this type of interest as it gets nearer...

Check out the MP3 file on the music player, and thanks to 42hz...

Deaconlight 1981

Here's a weird little thing - the "Deaconlight" playlist for Sunday November 8th.

Deaconlight was a student-programmed radio show at West Forest University, North Carolina, from the 1940s until 1981.

Its yer real bonafide college radio.

Nice to see Bowie's Warszawa there. Bet that gottem up n' on the dance floor...

Hi again,
thanks for those clarifications! So you were at Islington too. That was a top night wasn't it? I was also at the Graduate in Cambridge the night before where Les Chappel (Lene's Les) was there and we had a chat. He spilt the beans about Lene and him playing in Islington so I knew that was happening but when Kevin and Mathew showed up... that was mega!

I was fortunate to get a golden arm-band for the after-party too which was great. It's always good to meet up with Thomas and if possible drink some of his beer!

The year before at the Scala concert I was pretty much at the front of the huge queue that snaked all the way around the venue and shortly before opening a dapper Bruce walked past in white suit and straw boater. I really wanted to say something and let him into the line but I bottled! I had been let into the line myself and thought that letting someone in behind me might push the patience of the people behind me a bit far.

I'm sure that the diary quote would be the sort of thing Bruce would also find funny. It probably would bring back a shed load of fond and humouous memories.

A little bird told me a while back that Bruce was contributing to Thomas's new album. Do you know anything about that. I don't like to bring it up with Thomas as it came from a 3rd party and so...

I will pass on this link to all and sundry. Don't worry about that!

Cheers,
Jon

Hi Chris,
are you interested in Thomas Dolby by any chance? The avitar is his eye from a Flat Earth tour brochure.
I hope that I haven't upset anyone with the LL diary thing. I didn't think is was going to cross any lines. If you are 'famous' and you do stuff that is in the public domain then it's there.

Anyway. I'll shut up then!
Thanks for putting the site together BW deserves some air-time. It's nothing short of a tragedy that he was overlooked by the mainstream and so much utter crap did get through. A&R have a lot to answer for!

Cheers,
Jon
